for anyone who looks down upon 22-24 year olds living with their parents after college I would like to remind them the astronomical costs of college now compared to say 10-15 years ago as well as this increasing bullshit that is the unpaid internship. College, and Grad students are often expected to spend their summers working for free instead of a paying summer job. The education bubble, and the difficulty in finding scholarship opportunities are leaving young people in greater debt and less job opportunities, and I’m not talking about poor english majors, but even practical majors like Engineering, Economics, and Business

  Good point. We were a bit harsh there, and certainly all three of us come from different backgrounds and perspectives on the matter. As an art student I can certain relate with Lena Dunhams characters plight in Girls.

  Hmmm good point indeed. Many of my more younger friends and relatives find themselves in very similar situations not due to feelings of entitlement but rather due to the fact that the past ten years have not been financially kind to many people especially the recent grad crowd.

Please take this as constructive, since I am a fan and enjoy the site and this podcast very much. But… were you guys popping bubble wrap during this recording? clicking a pen right in front of the mic? I don’t know, but I had to stop listening right in the middle of the “Mad Men” talk because it was right in my ears and driving me nuts. I am not unmindful that this podcast is free, but please try to be aware of making noise that is an incredible distraction. Thank you.

  It was a pretty fun show and I always enjoyed it when I caught it in between Scrubs and Modern Family episodes. It’s too bad that it a while for me to get past my allergy to ABC since it caused me to miss a lot of the show.

I keep looking at “Better Off Ted” on netflix but haven’t bother watching it yet, after your praise and comments I’ll have to give it a viewing. You guys steered me true on “Alphas” so I now have high hopes.

Also I agree with Greg in regards to Peggy Olson. She is every bit as petty and selfish as the rest of the cast (couldn’t hold a candle to Pete though) yet I think this often gets overlooked due to underdog syndrome. The decisions Peggy makes don’t affect others as much as the big dogs decisions do so they don’t initially seem as negative. Then since we as viewers got to see her climb up from the Stygian depths of “1960′s female secretary”, and succeed from her own merits she has sort of won our hearts, but also blinded us to many of her less favorable traits and actions.

That bit about Peggy’s baby isn’t right, she gave the baby away, her mother is not taking care of him. It’s just ever since she gave the baby away she had a bit of a problem with babies, that’s why she wouldn’t say goodnight to her sister’s kids in season 2.

  That is true. When I first saw that episode I thought the baby was Peggy’s and her mom or sister were taking care of it, but in the episode commentary it’s pointed out that is a common mistake and the baby is not Peggy’s since she did indeed give her’s away.
