Point of trivia:  Lou Ferrigno did the voice of the Hulk.

I think what Fish was saying about the end credits has some merit.

The first one in Iron Man with Fury sets up the Avengers.

The second one in The Incredible Hulk was Tony going to General Ross. I thought it was going to play out that SHIELD needed Ross’ experience battling the Hulk or at least subduing him for something. Because of that Marvel Short “The Consultant” on the Thor Blu-Ray, they just had it that the Council had originally wanted Abomination on the team, but SHIELD didn’t, so to get Ross to keep Abomination in custody, they sent Tony to basically annoy him into saying “Fuck it, I’m keeping him”

The Iron Man 2 post-credits sequence had Thor’s hammer which sets up for Thor.

Thor had the Selvig/Fury scene. Now, one could make the argument that because the Cube is like a two-sided door, Loki was looking in and found he could kind of influence people, hence why he gets Selvig to the say the line. And because of this Loki has the scepter made to help influence people. Not a perfect explanation, but it’s not like The Avengers offered one.

And Captain America had the teaser for The Avengers.

I’m not sure exactly where this whole Thanos thing is going to go. Much like you guys said and much like Fish said these things usually have a 50/50 ratio. Of course they’re going to use Thanos, but it’s a question of when and how.

While I did enjoy the movie’s fight scenes and jokes, I had trouble with some key story elements and have not seen anyone bring this up and want some feedback on these.
SPOILERS:
1. So Hawkeye is a badass, and they show him being a total badass in the movie.  How did he not kill Fury and Agent Hill in the beginning of the movie?  I understand they don’t want to kill those 2 characters, but they should not have been there if they wanted that, because they should both be dead from that encounter.
2. Agent Coulson dies and Fury shows some bloody trading cards and now suddenly everyone is on board with teaming up and stopping Loki, WTF?  Did none of the agents or innocents Loki has already killed matter?  Did they not prove that he has great power and is a legitimate threat to come through on what he is saying about conquering earth and felling all who stand against him?  One guy dying changes their mind and gets them to play nice, I don’t get it.  I could surely see them working together and not liking it.  Saying to themselves, “I don’t get along with these people, but the world needs us to work together.”  That would have worked fine, but playing something that cheap to get them to buddy up and for Tony to find a heart, really?

I would love to have the second Avengers be an Avengers Disassembled plot where Thanos manipulates the group to point where they break apart up and things look bleak and end dark (Empire Strikes Back). Then film three would finally get the Avengers Assemble where they reunite to stomp Thanos.

 2 whedon regulars appeared. 1 of the cops was in dollhouse and denisoff was the alien at the beginning and end that talked.

I know you guys have been talking about comic book films to death, but I would like to hear some dream casting.

If you were put in charge of bringing a character to the big screen who would you get to direct and who would you cast? Don’t limit yourselves to Marvel, I would like to hear your DC ideas as well.
