Geeks@College: Avengers Assemble!

The time has finally arrived, The Avengers have assembled, and a returning member appears!

But before we get to the film, we chew over the trailers for The Dark Knight Rises and The Amazing Spider-Man. Next, we share our feelings on two recent Marvel ‘toons, The Avengers: Earth’s Mightiest Heroes and Ultimate Spider-Man.

In Part 2, The Geeks assemble for an in-depth discussion on The Avengers, where we talk favorite moments, complaints and more. Finally, the superhero debate continues with the return of Defend Yourself! In this edition, the gloves come off as the gang deliberate about two films: Ang Lee’s 2003 Hulk film and 2008′s The Incredible Hulk!

I’m listening to this again. And I think Maria Hill might not have done much in the movie, but they definitely seem to want to point people in a Civil War direction at the end of the movie, which would explain Hill’s presence, since that’s all she’s ever really done of significance in the comics to my knowledge. I don’t know, just a thought. At the end, people’s reactions are kind of decided on the Avengers’ existence.
Seriously?

WHAT? That is the point where things clicked? The bloody cards bit was idiotic and the last straw to me showing how this script was awful. You guys keep talking about how solid the script was, did we watch the same movie? The effects and fight scenes were great as well as the jokes. Loki was spot on as well, but the story fell apart in the first 15 minutes and the cards absolutely threw it off the rails into crazy town.
