Geek Techniques Cocktails: The Vesper Martini

Geek Techniques is bringing you new geeky themed cocktails each week. This week Beau presents the most sought after geek cocktail: The Vesper Martini!

Welcome back to Geek Techniques! The Lounge Geeks decided to have a get-together and make a variety of geek-themed cocktails. We also documented the processes so that we could share our great and not so great cocktail inventions with you! This week Beau will teach you how to make one of the most popular geek cocktails ever: The Vesper Martini a.k.a. “The James Bond drink”!

What You’ll Need:

• A Shaker of Ice
• A Chilled Martini Glass (chill in ice and soda water)
• .5 oz. Gin
• 1.5 oz. Vodka
• .5 oz. Lillet (or Vermouth with some orange and lime extract)
•A Twist of Lemon

Written Procedure:

Chill the martini glass in ice and club soda (chills better). Add gin, vodka and lillet (or in our case vermouth with a drop of orange and lime extract) to the shaker of ice. Kill some bad guys in service of the Queen. Shake the…uhh… shaker. Sleep with the sexy femme fatale spy. Empty the martini glass and fill it from the shaker. Add a twist of lemon. Be the envy of all those around you!
