You guys actually convinced me to give it a shot. I’ve been loving the cosmic stuff the last couple of years, but when I saw the cover for issue #1, all I could think about was Shadowland.

Apparently the baby is non-existent. I think it was the first issue of “I Am An Avenger” where it is revealed that Danny’s chi fooled the pregnancy test. So no phantom baby.

Always strong work from British writers Dan Abnett and Andy Lanning (DnA). From The Authority Volume 5 to Marvel’s Cosmic titles (Guardians of the Galaxy, Nova, War of Kings) they continue to hit the mark. When it was announced DnA would be relaunching Heroes for Hire, I was just as skeptical as the next guy. How many times has this book been rebooted?

I couldn’t be more content. In fact, it’s one of the books I look forward to. I’m so glad you are taking time to discuss this book because it deserves more recognition.

As just a bit of an update: Avengers #10 has reprinted the entire issue of Heroes for Hire #1 at no extra cost. Glad Marvel is stepping up its efforts to promote one its best books out there.
